TinyTask is a small free utility that allows you to automate repetitive tasks on your computer. To do this, you simply record the process using the tool’s interface and then turn it into a small macro you can click used to do the job in the future.
If you frequently have to do the same process over and over during troubleshooting, for instance this is a handy tool for reducing it to a single click.
With TinyTaks you can record actions you are doing on your computer into a .rec file and next time you need to do these actions again, all you need to do is just load the .rec file and press play. It will automate all boring and repetative tasks for you in no time. The speed of the TinyTask performing recorded tasks can be increased up to a 100 times saving you even more time since tasks that you took hours will complete in minutes. This nifty tool can save you hours of time and it performs really well on all versions of Windows.
Another great feature is complile exe that allows you to compile a custom .exe file that once executed will perform the task recorded. This way you don’t have to load the action every time. You just run te .exe file and it’s done. Also, this allows you to make action chains where if some task has 3 steps you would have 3 .exe files and running these in a given order will complete the whole task.
This can be useful for several things such as opening and closing programs, opening windows, switching between tabs in a browser, writing on a notepad or using some kind of hotkey combination. After recording the sequence of mouse movements or keying, you’ll only have to check whether it’s right and that it works, and export the file to an EXE that the user can run whenever necessary.
Finally, the last feature of the program allows us to save all the different actions required by the user in a directory to be able to access them easily and implement all the movements necessary for each task. Sounds easy, doesn’t it?
